Welcome to the RBC website. We hope this gives you a glimpse into the life of our church community. We believe that following Jesus brings us life - life now and life eternal. It is the best way to live for so many reasons! I encourage you to come along to our fantastic church community (that is so much better than we can ever show on a website) We believe that in doing so you will find Jesus, life and family.
This Easter we explore how God works in powerful ways even through human foolishness, or that which appears foolish from a human perspective. The ultimate expression of this is seen in the cross, where God would choose to become a man, suffer betrayal, torture, in order to die a humiliating death. Yet it is in this moment, where human wisdom says all is lost, that we see the power and wisdom in God, that His death brings re-birth and new life. So, Paul says in 1 Cor 1:18:
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing,
but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
On Good Friday there will be 7 stations with artistic expressions inspired by the stories of Jesus journey to the cross with interactive elements to engage with the passion story.
So come and share around a cuppa and a hot cross bun with RBC family and friends before you make your way through all the stations.
Our service starts at 9:30am; and goes for approximately an hour and a half. It includes worship and a sermon, with morning tea and time for socialising at the end.
There are programs for little ones from one years old and up; and programs for kids ranging from kindergarten to year eight. If you have kids, we suggest coming ten minutes early to sign them into their respective programs.
The church has some parking spaces, and there is street parking on Dobson Crescent and Myra Avenue.
