OUR 2010 VISION 

   2009 was an exciting and fruitful year with all our goals either completed or in the process of

   completion.

   2010 is going to be another exciting year as already we have much planned and we look

   forward to sharing this with you here and as the year progresses.

   Our vision for 2010 is one of pushing the boundaries and our goals are as usual exciting,  

   evangelistic, all inclusive and creative, using all the talents that God has given to each one of 

   us to complete!

   HOW 2010 WILL LOOK AT RBC!

   This year we will be including some different and innovative ministries, our whole church

   building will have a fresh look with new offices, eating areas and meeting rooms. 

   We would like to share with you some of the new and challenging areas RBC is moving into in

   2010.

   English Classes

   English classes are high on the RBC agenda with many people

   enthusiastic in helping to share their skills and to love and care for

   people struggling with their English.  Many people are lonely and the lack

   of English creates a sense of isolation that in turns creates more isolation

   and a sense of desperation.

   If you would like to help with these ESL classes or know anyone who

   could benefit from them please contact the church office.  We are

   planning on starting these classes at beginning of the University term in

   February on Wednesday evenings.  Stayed turned for further

   information.

   Alpha

   As we have done in previous years we are looking to hold Alpha groups

   throughout the year.  Our first one will begin in Term 2 and anyone who

   would like to know more about Jesus is invited to attend.  We offer a

   delicious meal in a small group setting where we then watch a DVD on

   various topics and have informal discussions about what was on the

   DVD.  This is a great place to ask all those questions you have always

   wanted to ask about Jesus and the Christian faith.  If you or anyone you

   know is interested in joining our next Alpha group please contact the

   church office.

   Stampede Music Festival

   Stampede youth and Catalyst young adults will be joinging forces to host

   a music festival in March.  The festival will include an international artist

   and several local artists.  For more information go to

   Leadership

   Growing leaders from within the congregation is something RBC has

   always done and will continue to do.  Teaching, growing, mentoring and

   encouraging up and coming leaders of all ages, is of great importance to

   not only the church but to the individual themselves.  We have developed

   strategies and training for our leaders.  If you are interested in this area

   have a look at the Sermons page on this website to listen to some great

   teaching on leadership.

   Easter Production

   Easter is always a time of remembering what Jesus has done for us.  RBC

   has for many years presented the love and story of Jesus in a powerful

   way on Good Friday.  Another wonderful presentation is already in the

   making.  Don’t miss this creative production and bring your friends.  This

   is one morning at church that is not to be missed by anybody – Christian

   or not!

   Watoto Children’s Choir

   We are really excited that the Watoto Children’s Choir will be performing

   at RBC on Tuesday the 3^rd August at 7:30pm.  These children have amazing

   voices and are not to be missed.  Book this date in your calendar now! 

   Remember we need volunteers for billeting these children and their

   carers.  Let us know if you can help either in billeting or on the night. 

   Large Church Gatherings

   We have always enjoyed our large church gatherings at RBC.  Having

   everyone together sharing over a meal, having a laugh, learning

   something new is something tremendously special.  They are always fun

   and inspiring and give us a real sense of community when both the

   evening and morning service come together.  Watch for dates and don’t

   miss out!

   Women’s Ministry

   Our women’s ministry will continue to thrive this year.  The EQuip

   women’s group meet as usual during school terms on Tuesday mornings. 

   We meet in the RBC Café from 9.30 till 11.30am.  We have a wonderful

   and talented childcare worker who looks after our pre-schoolers so our

   mums can have a relaxed and worry free morning to enjoy each others

  company.  Any enquiries please ring the church office.

   All women of the church meet for dinner several times during the year. 

   These are times of fun, good food and relaxation and are open to women

   of all ages.  Keep watch for up-coming dates in 2010.

   Connections Lunches

   Our Connections Lunches have always proved popular.  They are

   designed for new people in the church to meet with some of the

   leadership team over a stress-free lunch in one of the Pastors homes.  If

   you would like to come to one of these lunches please call the church

   office.  Also watch for the notices during our church services or in the

   church bulletins and talk to one of the pastors or leaders for more

   information.

   Discipleship

   Discipleship is something we take seriously at RBC.  We have developed a

   fresh discipleship program for anyone interested in going deeper with

   God.  This program will be run as needed and will be for a small group of

   people.  Contact the church office for more information.
